OUR STORY
Knowledge Engineering is a Digital Startup devised to research, develop and innovate highly advanced products and solutions, encompassing hardware (automation) and the lifecycle services processes used in their manufacturing (automatisation). It makes use of abstraction mechanisms, such as models and formation laws to generate completely new Knowledge for scientific and technological progress of Mankind.

Founder & CEO
GERMANO DE SOUZA KIENBAUM, PhD, graduated in Aeronautical Engineering at the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA/Brazil) in 1983. In 1985 he joined the Laboratory for Applied Computing and Mathematics (LAC) of the National Space Research Institute (INPE/Brazil) and finished MSc in Systems Analysis and Applications at INPE in 1989. As a research assistant and student he went to Passau University, Germany (1991-1992), and Brunel University, United Kingdom (1992-1995), where he obtained his PhD degree in 1995. As a visiting researcher he concluded Post-Doc research project at Loughborough University, United Kingdom, in Computer Science in year 2014.
CLÁUDIO PASSOS SIMÃO
MANAGER
Cláudio Passos Simão is a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering graduated from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics – ITA in São José dos Campos, with specialization in flight test. He worked at the Brazilian civil aviation authority (1984-2016) in the maintenance, aircraft certification and regulations areas. He was member of the ICAO Continuing Airworthiness (CAP) and Airworthiness (AIRP) Panels, and Director of the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) from 2008 to 2016.
OSCAR IVAN PALMA PACHECO
MANAGER
Oscar Ivan Palma Pacheco graduated in Ingeniería Comercial (Economics Engineering/ Production Engineering) – at Universidad de Concepción, Concepción, Chile (1975), MSc in Statistics and Quantitative Methods at University of Brasília, Brasília, DF (1977) and doctorate in Systems Engineering and Computing at COPPE/Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, RJ (1985). He has deep knowledge in Operational Research, Computer Networks, Data Bases, Compilers, Distributed Systems, Suystems Integration, and Process Modeling and Simulation, with emphasis on the the development of computational systems of high performance and more than 40 years experience as professor of superior education.
